Accessibility
Statement.
Every Champion deserves the opportunity to connect, learn, contribute, and participate. We are working to make A Family of Champions accessible to people with a wide range of abilities and accessibility needs.
A Family of Champions ("AFC"), operated by Wayvve Inc., is committed to improving digital accessibility for visitors and community members, including people with disabilities. Accessibility is an ongoing part of how we evaluate and improve our website and community experience.
01. Our Accessibility Commitment
We want AFC to be welcoming and usable for as many people as possible, regardless of their abilities or the technologies they use.
Our goal is to reduce barriers to accessing information, creating connections, participating in community activities, and using our services.
02. Accessibility Standards
AFC uses the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA as a reference for accessibility improvements and evaluation.
This is a target for our work, not a declaration that every website feature currently conforms to WCAG 2.2 Level AA.
03. Areas Of Focus
As we develop and maintain AFC, we aim to improve:
- Clear and readable content, including appropriate text contrast.
- Keyboard access to navigation, forms, and interactive features.
- Meaningful headings, labels, and page organization.
- Text alternatives for meaningful images.
- Accessibility of videos, audio, and other media.
- Compatibility with assistive technologies where reasonably possible.
- Responsive layouts that support different screen sizes and zoom levels.
- Clear instructions and understandable feedback in forms and account features.
04. Community-Generated Content
AFC includes content created and shared by community members. Some member-generated posts, images, videos, and documents may not be fully accessible.
We encourage Champions to use descriptive text, meaningful captions, and accessible formatting when sharing content.
05. Third-Party Features
Our website may include tools, media players, integrations, or services provided by third parties.
Accessibility can vary across these services. We will consider accessibility when evaluating integrations and seek reasonable alternatives when barriers are identified.
06. Known Limitations
AFC is an evolving platform. Some features, particularly community interactions, third-party integrations, and member-generated content, may present accessibility barriers.
We have not completed a comprehensive accessibility audit of every feature. We therefore do not claim full conformance at this time.
As specific issues are identified, we will evaluate their impact and prioritize appropriate improvements.
07. Requesting Assistance
If you experience difficulty accessing AFC content or using a feature, please contact our team.
When possible, tell us which page or feature you were using, what difficulty you experienced, and what type of assistance would be helpful.
You do not need to disclose a medical diagnosis or other sensitive personal information to request accessibility assistance.
08. Feedback And Improvements
Accessibility is an ongoing process. We welcome feedback from members, visitors, and people who use assistive technologies.
Reports of accessibility barriers help us identify areas for improvement. We will review requests and work toward reasonable solutions based on the circumstances.
09. Statement Updates
This statement may be updated as AFC adds features, evaluates accessibility, and implements improvements.
The effective date will be revised when material changes are made.
