Content Use Policy.
Every Champion has a story, a voice, and something valuable to contribute. This policy explains how content is owned, shared, protected, and used throughout A Family of Champions.
01. Your Content Belongs To You
Members retain ownership of original content they create and share on AFC, subject to the rights of third parties.
Posting content does not transfer copyright ownership to AFC or Wayvve Inc. However, submitting content grants the usage rights described in this policy and our Terms of Use.
02. License Granted To AFC
By submitting content to AFC under the membership agreement, you grant Wayvve Inc. a nonexclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, display, distribute, adapt, and use that content in connection with operating, maintaining, improving, documenting, and promoting AFC.
This license may continue after content removal or account closure, including for previously published materials, archives, community history, and promotional materials, subject to applicable law and privacy rights.
This license does not transfer ownership of your original content to AFC.
03. Membership Acceptance And Content Rights
The AFC content license is part of the membership agreement.
When you register, affirmatively accept the applicable membership terms, and submit content, you grant the license described in this policy and the Terms of Use.
The license supports community operations, educational materials, publications, archives, historical documentation, and permitted promotional activities.
The license is ongoing and may continue after membership ends or submitted content is removed, to the extent permitted by applicable law.
Members retain ownership of their original content.
04. Marketing And Promotional Use
AFC may highlight community achievements, educational activities, events, initiatives, and member contributions in communications about the Family.
The general membership content license permits promotional use within its lawful scope. However, where applicable law requires additional authorization to use a member's name, identifiable photograph, likeness, personal testimonial, or private communication in advertising, AFC will obtain that authorization separately.
Promotional authorization may be requested during registration through a clearly presented agreement or release.
Any separately authorized promotional use will follow the scope and conditions of the applicable permission or release.
05. Youth Content Protection
AFC applies additional protections to content involving members ages 13 through 17.
The general membership content license does not authorize unrestricted commercial exploitation of a minor's identity, likeness, or private information.
Before using identifiable youth photographs, videos, personal stories, testimonials, or other youth-related content in external promotional campaigns, AFC will obtain appropriate authorization, including parental or guardian consent where legally required.
Youth members and their parents or legal guardians may contact AFC to request review or removal of content involving a minor. AFC will evaluate such requests in accordance with applicable law and its policies.
AFC may remove or restrict youth-related content when reasonably necessary to protect privacy and member safety.
06. Respecting Other Members' Content
Content shared by another Champion does not automatically become available for unrestricted reuse by other members.
- Do not copy or republish another member's work without authorization.
- Do not commercially exploit another member's images, writing, or media without permission.
- Do not distribute private group content or messages without appropriate consent.
- Credit creators when required by permission or applicable law.
07. Content You Submit
You are responsible for ensuring that content you submit is lawful and that you have the rights necessary to share it.
Do not upload copyrighted music, photographs, videos, documents, or other materials without appropriate authorization or another lawful basis.
08. AFC Educational Materials
Courses, lessons, articles, guides, videos, graphics, and other materials produced by AFC or its authorized contributors remain the property of their respective owners.
Access to educational content does not automatically grant permission to reproduce, resell, redistribute, or create commercial derivatives of that material.
09. Sponsored And Partner Content
Sponsored content, advertisements, and partner materials may carry separate ownership, licensing, and usage conditions.
Partners and advertisers are responsible for having the rights needed to submit materials for publication.
10. Reporting Copyright Concerns
If you believe content on AFC infringes your copyright, please contact us with information identifying the material, its location, your claimed rights, and your contact details.
Formal copyright notices under applicable law may require additional information. AFC may remove or restrict access to disputed content while reviewing a complaint.
11. Content Removal And Moderation
AFC may remove, restrict, or disable access to content that violates its policies, infringes third-party rights, threatens member safety, or violates applicable law.
Removing content from public display does not necessarily result in immediate deletion from backups, previously authorized publications, or records that AFC is legally permitted or required to retain.
12. Privacy And Personal Information
Content permissions do not override applicable privacy rights or legal requirements concerning personal information.
Please review our Privacy Policy, Terms of Use, and Community Guidelines for additional information.
13. Policy Updates
AFC may update this Content Use Policy as community features, publishing practices, or legal obligations evolve.
Updates will be posted on this page with a revised effective date.
